Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra

The APO reinvents classical music and often performs in unexpected locations. They certainly perform the full orchestra. However, subsets or smaller groups of APO musicians can be anywhere in Northwest Arkansas.

Don’t be surprised to discover a chamber group in the Fayetteville library that includes a spoken-word poetry. There are drummers at the Rogers farmer’s market accompanied by an ensemble from the NWA Ballet Theatre. Or even a few APO woodwinds with beatboxers and other performers at Theatre Squared, at the world’s top Bentonville art spaces such as the Momentary and The Amazeum and Crystal Bridges. In all, they offer the very best performances from Northwest Arkansas.

Nurturing Young Minds and Coaching Musical Muscles

The APO includes musicians from all over the world. They have found that the most effective method to introduce new music into Northwest Arkansas is to foster local talent! Therefore, the APO offers free music education to local children, while also empowering them and creating a better future for the community. The programs like those of the Arkansas Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, schools, virtual learning (even prior to the outbreak) along with Classical Kids Club are as important to the APO infrastructure as are their most recent concerts.
