The Pantry

The Pantry: For a Taste of Czech Cuisine

Since being established in 2009, The Pantry has been one of the most popular restaurants in Little Rock, Arkansas. With their unique menu that serves up authentic Czech and German cuisine, both of their 2 branches enjoy a strong following in the community. Whether you are a local or a visitor, there are a lot of reasons why you should check out The Pantry.

The Pantry is founded by Tomas Bohm. A native of the Czech Republic, Bohm has brought a taste of his native cuisine thru his restaurant. Given that there are not a lot of restaurants of its kind in the state, let alone the city, it has proven to be somewhat of a curiosity among Little Rock foodies. But it has proven to be a curiosity of the good kind. The restaurant has been a hit when it first opened, and patrons have been coming back for more since then.

Bohm has been affiliated with a number of successful restaurants like EZ’s and 1620 and So. The Pantry is the first time he opened a restaurant, and it has proven to be a massive success. Inspired by the distinct cuisine of his country of origin Czech Republic as well as of its neighboring country Germany, Bohm created a formidable menu that contains some of the best and most popular dishes in those 2 countries. Beyond the novelty factor, The Pantry boasts both authenticity and quality that makes purists come back for more.

The main attraction at The Pantry will always be their food. Their specialties include Czech and German dishes such as goulash beef stew and Weiner Schnitzel. They also offer a number of Old World classics such as homemade sausages and lasagna. They even have some curiosities in their menu. For example, they have a menu item where bratwurst, pork belly, cured ham, and country terrine are combined in a single plate!

Drawing inspiration from the Germans’ passion for alcohol, both branches of The Pantry have a bar that serves alcoholic beverages from 4pm to midnight. They have a long list of beer offerings, ranging from German draft beers to “vintage brews”, which are basically beers that have been aged before serving. They also offer cocktails, with some of them original mixes developed by The Pantry’s professional bar mixers. From all-time favorites to seasonal mixes, their cocktails are just as awesome as their beers.

The Pantry currently has 2 branches. The Pantry West is located at 11401 N. Rodney Parham Road, and The Pantry Crest is located at 722 N. Palm Street. The 2 branches have menus slightly different from each other, meaning some items are unique to the branch where they are served.
